Taken by Jim Schoneman"This is the east branch of the Mohawk River at the mill pond dam in West Leyden, New York. I was on the last leg of my drive from Wisconsin to see friends in upstate New York and exited the Thruway at Rome. Ended up getting a little lost and found myself in West Leyden, and seeing this beautiful spot I had to stop and take a picture.
The east branch of the Mohawk meets the west branch in West Branch, New York. The west branch then joins the Mohawk near Rome, New York. The Mohawk River flows into the Hudson at Cohoes. The Mohawk River is the Hudson River's largest tributary. I like the green plants behind the waterfall." |
