Coyote on the Horizon

"Snow-shoeing along the huge meadow at Croton Point Park, I was alone and enjoying the quiet and sheer beauty of the sunny March day. In the distance, I saw what at first looked like a dog, but as I watched it move, I wasn't so sure. Coyote, perhaps ? He kept stopping and looking at me, but kept ascending up the hill. I waited until he reached the horizon, and took this shot. It was a starkly beautiful moment, that warm-colored coyote against the cool blue of the sky and cooler white of the snow."
