If you've ever wanted to attend a party at FDR's home, this is your chance! The Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historical Association will be hosting a "Post Prohibition" Party fundraiser on the south lawn of the FDR estate, in Hyde Park, New York, on Saturday, June 9th, from 6pm to 8pm.
The evening will be set in the 1930s, as prohibition is lifted. Guests will be treated to hors d'oeurves, cocktails, and dancing with music performed live by the Big Band Sound. Enjoy the sunset view just as the Roosevelt's did. Appropriate attire is required, and to add to the theme of the evening, period dress is encouraged. Attendees must be at least 21. Guests will park in the lot located near the Wallace Visitor Center and walk approximately one quarter mile to the south lawn of the FDR Home. All who attend will be helping our local historic sites, as proceeds from this fundraising event directly support the National Park sites located in Hyde Park through the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historical Association. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, only. Interested in attending? Be sure to join our event page for it! |
