The Hudson Valley is known for many things. Among them, the fact that it has remained home to some of the last drive-in theaters in the world. Unfortunately, our region may be at risk of losing service of one of our largest drive-ins, if a new operator is not found soon.
The Hyde Park Drive-In, which has been in continuous operation since 1950, is in need of a new vendor to take over the drive-in, and continue running it. It has an 82-foot wide screen, a concession stand with bathrooms and administrative space, ticket booth, and space for 670 cars. The property itself is owned by the National Parks Service / Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, who are currently accepting proposals from interested parties who would like to lease and operate the drive-in. Submissions must be received NO LATER THAN APRIL 14, 2023.
