The Hudson Valley is known for many things. Among them, the fact that it has remained home to some of the last drive-in theaters in the world. Unfortunately, our region may be at risk of losing service of one of our largest drive-ins, if a new operator is not found soon.
The Hyde Park Drive-In, which has been in continuous operation since 1950, is in need of a new vendor to take over the drive-in, and continue running it. It has an 82-foot wide screen, a concession stand with bathrooms and administrative space, ticket booth, and space for 670 cars. The property itself is owned by the National Parks Service / Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, who are currently accepting proposals from interested parties who would like to lease and operate the drive-in. Submissions must be received NO LATER THAN APRIL 14, 2023. For detailed information and frequently asked questions about this opportunity, be sure to visit the official listing on the NPS website. After reviewing the information at the above link, if you're interested in submitting a proposal, be sure to email [email protected] with "Hyde Park Drive In" in the subject line. This opportunity is open to all individuals and businesses on a competitive basis. Know of someone who may be interested? Be sure to tell them! |
