If seeing a film out on a mysterious island is something you've been wanting to do, you are in luck! This Friday is expected to be a gorgeous night on Bannerman island on the Hudson River, and the Bannerman Castle Trust will be showing the classic 1978 film "Animal House" starring John Belushi. Togas are optional, but if you wear one, you'll have a chance to win a prize in their toga contest!
Boats depart for the island at 6:30pm and 7:30pm, from the waterfront in Beacon, New York. (Adjacent to the Metro-North Train Station). Tickets include a cruise to the island from Beacon, a mini-tour of the island while you're there, entry to the recently-opened Bannerman family residence, the film screening itself, and a return cruise back to Beacon. The whole experience lasts approximately 4 hours from the time you first depart from Beacon, New York.
Popcorn, candy, refreshments and other concessions will be available for purchase. Outdoor seating is provided. Know someone who might want to attend? Tell them about this event!
