Movie nights are coming to Bannerman Island on the Hudson River! After three sold out screenings last September, the Bannerman Castle Trust have geared up for an entire season of movies this year.
The first will take place on June 9th, with a screening of the cult classic Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure from 7 to 10pm. The movie night includes a cruise on the river to and from the Island, departing from the waterfront in Beacon, New York (adjacent to the Metro-North train station), a tour of the Island when you arrive, and the screening itself (featuring a video introduction by actor Alex Winter). Refreshments will be available for purchase, or feel free to bring your own.
Upcoming movie nights later this season include Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (sold out), North by Northwest (sold out), Danger Diabolik (1968), The Wolfman (1941), The Mummy (1932), Island of Lost Souls (1932), and Phantom of the Opera (1925).
