The US edition of the world's longest running electronic dance music, culture and arts festival will be taking place locally for the third year in a row. The Mysteryland festival series began in the Netherlands in 1993, and has since been held annually, expanding to Chile and the United States. Mysteryland USA is returning to the site of the original Woodstock Music Festival, at Bethel Woods Center for the performing arts in Bethel, New York from June 10-13th, 2016. The festival will feature more than 90 musical artists, an array of activities and attractions ranging from mixed martial arts and yoga, to meditation workshops, a 50' fire dome, movie screenings, live comedy acts, a speaker series, fashion vendors from across the country, dozens of food options from a mix of both local and NYC favorites.
In 2015, more than 50,000 people attended, with even more expected this year. Headline acts include Odesza, Skrillex and Bassnectar, as well as noted national and global acts such as Gesaffelstein, The Chainsmokers, Young Thug, Tchami, Zeds Dead, Griz and Keys N Krates. A variety of ticket, camping and travel packages are currently available. They include 1, 2 and 3 day general admission passes, general admission passes with a variety of camping options including pre-set up branded tents with air beds and sleeping bags, all the way to a fully accommodated Catskill mountain resort with accommodations for 3 nights. Additionally, shuttle services to the festival site are available from Albany, JFK, LGA and Newark airports and Grand Central Station in Manhattan. Additional festival options include parking passes, locker and power rentals. |
