If you've ever dreamed of having a five course farm-to-table dinner on an Island, in one of the most picturesque settings in the region; complete with a backdrop of castle ruins... you're in luck!
On Saturday, September 9th, the Bannerman Castle Trust welcomes the Hudson Valley Chefs' Consortium as they host the eighth annual "Chefs' Farm Fresh Dinner" fundraiser at Bannerman Island, out on the Hudson River. Billed as "the dinner of the year", it includes transportation to and from the Island from the waterfront in Beacon, New York, the chance to explore public areas of the Island at your leisure, a live musical performance by The Kings Highlander Bag Pipe Band, and the dinner, itself. A five course farm-to-table experience; each dish crafted by a different noted local chef, with locally-sourced ingredients. Two seatings will be hosted, one departing for the Island at 3pm, with a second at 4:15pm. Tickets for this benefit are $135, with proceeds going both toward the local chefs and restaurants who are participating, as well as toward the ongoing preservation efforts currently taking place on the Island. A portion of the ticket cost is tax-deductible. For any questions or for more information, please call Neil Caplan at 845-831-6346. |
