If you've ever dreamed of attending a dinner on Bannerman Island on the Hudson River, here's your chance!
On Saturday, July 6th, the Bannerman Castle Trust will be hosting a five-course farm fresh benefit dinner honoring Mark and Sue Adams of Adams Greenhouses, out on mysterious and historic Bannerman Island. Guests will be treated to a 30-minute cruise to the Island aboard the Estuary Steward, during which they will learn about the Island and its history, a self-guided tour where they will see the famous Bannerman Castle ruins and gardens throughout the Island, a five-course meal served in one of the most picturesque settings in the Hudson Valley, entry to the newly-opened Bannerman family residence, and a return cruise from the Island, back to Beacon, New York. Tickets are $135, with all proceeds to benefit the preservation efforts taking place on the Island, to help ensure as many people can experience this beautiful place for generations to come. A portion of the ticket cost is tax-deductible. In case of rain, the dinner portion will be held inside the Bannerman family residence on the Island. The tour portion of the event will take place, rain or shine. The boat departs from The Beacon Institute Dock in Beacon, at 3pm and 4pm. The dock is located adjacent to the Metro-North train station, on the Hudson River, in Beacon, New York. Tickets are limited and are available on a first come, first serve basis, only. |
